Hublot masterfully blends iconic design and artistic craftsmanship to unveil the Classic Fusion High Jewellery 2023, a dazzling high jewelry creation set with 431 baguette diamonds.
Hublot has generously extended its collection of Haute Joaillerie watches by presenting a dazzling 42mm Classic Fusion in gray gold, completely encrusted with baguette diamonds. This new model joins the ranks of other iconic timepieces such as the Big Bang, the Spirit of Big Bang and the Square Bang Unico, all decorated with white gold, diamonds and precious stones in a rainbow of hues. The Classic Fusion High Jewellery 42mm, however, brings something special to the table, combining signature design with the most spectacular setting techniques.
Set with baguette diamonds and adorned with refined gray gold accents, the Classic Fusion has transcended its status as a watch to become an undeniable icon of the Hublot brand. It is an extraordinary tribute to a timeless object. In keeping with its ethos that simplicity is the ultimate form of refinement, Hublot has chosen to revisit the basic shape that marked its creation in 1980. Today, the watchmaker presents a sublime form of high jewelry expression that underscores the timeless purity of the Classic Fusion’s lines.

What a stunning piece! Master craftsmen have brought this new Classic Fusion High Jewellery 2023 to life with no less than 431 baguette-cut diamonds, totaling approximately 14.6 carats. These precious stones cover the watch’s case, bezel, dial and clasp. The dial alone requires 120 hours of precise and meticulous setting – the equivalent of three full weeks – before all 241 baguette diamonds adorning it are perfectly set. This intricate process continues with the setting of another 60 diamonds around the bezel.
The HUB1710 caliber is housed in a 42 mm case, which is adorned with another 94 baguette diamonds and is visible through a sapphire crystal on the back of the watch. This self-winding movement beats at a frequency of 4 Hz, equivalent to 28,800 vibrations per hour, and has a power reserve of no less than 50 hours.
A timepiece of this caliber must be refined down to the smallest detail. The black rubber-lined alligator strap is fitted with a folding clasp also set with 36 baguette diamonds. In total, it took more than 200 hours to set the 431 diamonds that embellish this magnificent piece of high jewelry, a pure expression of the fusion of watchmaking and jewelry excellence.
Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, said: “This wonderfully radiant piece celebrates and icon of the maison. The jeweller’s artistic creativity and our watchmaking expertise intertwine to create a work of art that is both a watch and a jewel!”
