This summer, Guerlain will unveil its most ambitious spa project to date at the historic Waldorf Astoria New York. Spanning 30,000 square feet (2787 m²) and occupying an entire floor of the hotel, the Guerlain Wellness Spa will be the brand’s largest location in the world, featuring 16 treatment rooms and an entire floor dedicated to holistic wellness.
“By partnering with Waldorf Astoria New York, we’re creating a revolutionary wellness destination featuring our Guerlain skilled experts paired with our innovative technology,” said Diane Davody, Guerlain’s international spa business director. The spa will offer customized programs ranging from quick power treatments to immersive multi-month programs, all designed to enhance sleep fitness and mindfulness.

The expansive facility will introduce several exclusive services inspired by the iconic hotel’s heritage. Luigi Romaniello, managing director of Waldorf Astoria New York, emphasized the significance of the development: “This is going to be the largest wellness center that Guerlain has done out of their portfolio. It’s going to be a true destination spa, and it’s going to be an urban escape for New Yorkers, for our residents that live with us and also for all the guests staying with us.”
Visitors will discover treatments uniquely created for the location, including “Spirit of Achievement,” a massage and breathing session inspired by the statue above the hotel’s Park Avenue entrance. Another highlight is the Rhythm of Wellness, where soothing piano melodies pay homage to frequent guest and composer Cole Porter. For deep relaxation, Like Clockwork offers a sound bath influenced by the hotel’s iconic clock. In addition to these unique experiences, guests can enjoy classic massages, facials and seasonal offerings. Beyond traditional facials and massages, the spa will use advanced diagnostics to personalize each guest’s experience.

Beyond individual treatments, guests can participate in comprehensive three- to six-month wellness programs designed to achieve specific goals such as sleep improvement or fitness optimization. For those with limited time, one-hour power treatments efficiently address specific concerns.
The hotel also offers additional wellness amenities such as a 25-meter swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness center, and customized nutrition and wellness plans for long-term guests.

The renovation maintains Art Deco design elements throughout, aesthetically linking the spa to the hotel’s interiors, designed by Jean-Louis Deniot. Guerlain will also introduce an exclusive version of its signature fragrance, Bee Bottle, created by artist Ian Wenstrand specifically for the Waldorf Astoria.
The beauty house will also open three retail boutiques – in the spa, the lobby and on 50th Street – making its products accessible to hotel guests and New Yorkers alike.
