A vast white oval, topped by a giant luminous dome hovering above the catwalk like a giant sun, has been erected inside the Paris La Défense Arena. His some 70 models, men and women, traversed and intersected with military panache on a soundtrack created by American rapper Young Thug.
Between luxury and utility, extravagance and military discipline, the collection combined minimalist looks with atypical and experimental cuts, mixing classic tailoring with more elaborate pieces in neoprene – some looks interpreted the New York artist Josh Smith’ semi-abstract paintings through his own textural lens.
