Ferrari has shifted gears. The iconic automaker has unveiled its first Resort 2025 (Cruise 2025) collection, a bold step into luxury apparel. Three years in the making, the collection is a tangible manifestation of Ferrari‘s relentless pursuit of innovation.
Creative director Rocco Iannone describes the collection as the culmination of a dialogue with Ferrari’s customers. Released in three successive drops, the collection is a living document of the brand’s design ethos. It’s a fusion of technical prowess and sartorial elegance, blurring the lines between automotive engineering and fashion artistry.
At the heart of the collection is a novel material, Q-Cycle™. Recycled from discarded tires, this sustainable yarn finds expression in both utilitarian nylon twill and ethereal crochet. Iannone’s color palette is a departure from the brand’s signature rosso corsa, encompassing a spectrum that ranges from serene ecru to bold Klein blue.
The Resort 2025 collection is a symphony of contrasts. Ballerinas coexist with driving shoes, leather gives way to flowing joggers, and canvas bags are punctuated with metallic accents. The iconic Ferrari livery, traditionally reserved for high-performance automobiles, adorns tailored garments and lends an unmistakable air of exclusivity.
This is a meticulously crafted project that reflects Ferrari’s DNA. From the ergonomic design of the sneakers to the intricate details of the jewelry, the collection exudes a sense of purpose and precision. It is a testament to Ferrari’s ability to translate its core values into a new language.
