While all other brands, big and small, rejoice at returning to the physical parade, Dsquared2’s twin brothers Dean and Dan swam upstream with a Spring/Summer 2022 coed runway show digitally unveiled at Milan Fashion Week.

Filmed in an abandoned industrial space in Milan, filled with graffiti inside but with lush vegetation outside, their collection was a “grungy fairy tale”. The collection stemmed from the idea of hanging out again. “It’s about cool girls and boys getting together and just having fun”, said Dean Caten, stressing that the intent was to convey “a positive, good vibe”.
Playing on the theme of the opposite between tough/soft, delicate/strong dynamic, the Caten brothers offered a fusion of grunge, rock and punk elements with more delicate and ethereal ones. Adorned with glittering or fringed details or floral patterns, each piece, whether vinyl, leather or denim, was both playful and cool with a hint of punk rock much loved by the brothers.
