The House of Dior has officially announced its participation in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, strengthening the luxury brand’s historic relationship with Japan. The fashion house is presenting an exhibition within the French Pavilion, themed “Hymne à l’amour” (A Hymn to Love), showcasing the intersection of French craftsmanship and Japanese artistry.
Visitors will encounter a thoughtfully curated space that highlights the Maison’s heritage alongside the contemporary innovations that continue to shape the brand’s identity.

At the heart of the exhibition are several symbolic elements of French heritage: a Rodin sculpture alongside a trio of Bar suits representing the French tricolor – blue, white and red. Christian Dior’s legendary Amphores Tricolores, first designed in 1949 and recently reintroduced for Paris 2024, will serve as a powerful representation of the French artistic tradition.
The exhibition also pays tribute to Christian Dior’s architectural aspirations through structural elements and spatial design. A highlight is the Lady Dior bag, reimagined by renowned Japanese architect Kazuyo Sejima, created for the 2024 “Lady Dior As Seen By” project.
At the heart of the installation are over 400 white toiles in various scales – three-dimensional expressions of haute couture craftsmanship. These appear alongside 3D-printed interpretations of iconic Dior perfume bottles, creating a conversation between tradition and innovation.

The immersive experience features ethereal visual elements by Japanese artist Yuriko Takagi, who has created dreamlike sequences featuring Dior models. This artistic contribution enhances the sensory aspects of the exhibition while celebrating the cultural exchange at the heart of Dior’s philosophy.
The installation is completed by a design by Tokujin Yoshioka, who reinterpreted Dior’s signature Medallion chair in 2021. This piece is another example of the House’s ongoing creative dialogue with Japanese designers and artists.

By participating in this global event, Dior reaffirms what the brand’s representative describes as its “unbreakable ties with Japan” – a relationship that continues to inspire and evolve through meaningful artistic exchanges.
Dior’s participation is part of LVMH‘s Gold Partnership with World Expo 2025, joining brands such as Louis Vuitton, Celine, Chaumet and Moët Hennessy.
The World Expo 2025 runs from April 13th to October 13th, 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
