Celine‘s Fall/Winter 2024 collection, titled “Arc de Triomphe,” is a homage to the 1960s, reinterpreted through Hedi Slimane‘s signature sleek and polished lens.
The collection film, a masterpiece in itself, transports viewers to a bygone era. Lush black-and-white visuals showcase models in perfectly tailored suits and dresses, their Twiggy-inspired eye makeup a nod to the decade’s iconic beauty trends. The backdrop? Sweeping shots of Parisian Art Deco landmarks like the Salle Pleyel concert hall and the Musée Bourdelle, each imbued with a timeless elegance.

Slimane describes the 1960s as Celine’s “golden age,” and his collection reflects that sentiment. Crisp A-line dresses and coordinated two-piece looks evoke a sense of youthful sophistication. As the film progresses, the mood takes a glamorous turn. Shimmering minidresses adorned with crystal embellishments and feather-shaped sequins make a dazzling statement, while luxurious shearling coats, some hooded, add a touch of cozy warmth.
Slimane also unveils the first installment of Celine Beauté, a new beauty line designed by himself. The initial launch features 15 shades of satin-finish lipstick, slated to hit stores in January 2025. Future offerings will reportedly include lip balms, mascaras, nail polishes, eyeliners, and more, creating a comprehensive make-up range.
