Italian luxury fashion house Brunello Cucinelli has ventured into the world of beauty and fragrance, collaborating with EuroItalia to create an exquisite pair of scents for men and women. These fragrances, inspired by the land of Umbria and the brand’s roots, are intended to evoke a sense of warmth and comfort, much like a cashmere sweater.
Brunello Cucinelli has long been synonymous with high-quality fashion, and this partnership with EuroItalia represents a new chapter in the brand’s history. The two companies have worked together to create a “contemporary licensing agreement“, which ensures that the beauty category aligns seamlessly with Cucinelli’s values and work ethic. In a heartwarming anecdote, Brunello Cucinelli himself shared the inspiration for this new venture, stemming from a dream to honor a dear friend who once produced aromatic essences.
The fragrances, Brunello Cucinelli pour Femme and Brunello Cucinelli pour Homme, were unveiled at Milan’s Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci. Firmenich master perfumers Daphné Bugey and Olivier Cresp collaborated on the scents, with Bugey focusing on the women’s fragrance and Cresp on the men’s.
Bugey’s women’s scent is characterized by a soft, woody fragrance with notes of amber, musk, spices, citrus fruits, and chestnut. She aimed to create a sense of elegance and simplicity, inspired by Brunello Cucinelli’s cashmere garments. Cresp’s men’s scent, on the other hand, was inspired by the cypress trees in Solomeo, Italy, and features notes of juniper, bergamot, lemon, ginger and black pepper.
An advertising campaign for the fragrances, featuring models Arizona Muse and James Turlington, was also unveiled. The campaign, shot in Solomeo and Val d’Orcia in Tuscany, celebrates dreamers and their visionary spirit.
This partnership between Brunello Cucinelli and EuroItalia, both established in 1978, represents a beautiful fusion of two successful companies. As the brand expands into the world of beauty and fragrance, fans can expect the same level of quality, elegance, and craftsmanship that has long defined Brunello Cucinelli’s luxurious garments.
The fragrances are housed in elegant glass bottles, with smooth surfaces for women and chiseled designs for men. Retailing at 180 euros, the scents were launched exclusively at the Brunello Cucinelli store in Milan and will soon be available in Europe, the Middle East, and select perfumeries and retailers. Plans for a U.S. launch are set for early October, with Asia following in 2024.
