The BOSS Spring/Summer 2023 collection made a splash at its debut in Miami on Wednesday, 15th September. The collection redefined the codes of traditional tailoring, a signature of the Hugo Boss brand, with a play of materials and contrasts.
The new “see now, buy now” approach reimagined the brand’s tailoring heritage, taking inspiration from the intense forces between opposing elements like land and sea, opaque and transparent, and past and present.
According to Marco Falcioni, the Senior Vice President of Creative Direction, this powerful juxtaposition served as a foundation for a new exploration of prints, tones, and textures. The collection showcased a mix of silk and nylon fabrics, with a light and pleated approach, and a range of hues that reflected the Art-Deco architecture of Miami. The tailoring essentials, like suits, shirts, and trench coats, were updated with cool shades, while warm and soft colors, such as powdery, sun-washed hues, added a touch of sophistication to the collection.
The modern and aquatic-themed set design elevated the atmosphere of transparency, with the illusion that the entire venue was surrounded by waterfalls and the models were walking on water. Over 500 guests, including renowned celebrities, athletes, and fashion icons like DJ Khaled, Jordan Barrett and Demi Lovato, were in attendance. The event concluded with an after party at Herald Plaza, featuring a thrilling DJ set by DJ Nasty and DJ Danny Daze.
