BAPE® and Vans have teamed up once again to deliver a collection that seamlessly blends their iconic styles. The latest collaboration features the Vans Sk8-Mid and Old Skool silhouettes adorned with BAPE®’s signature camouflage print.
The Sk8-Mid, known for its classic design and enhanced ankle support, takes a subtle yet impactful approach in this collection. The BAPE® camo print, a staple of the brand’s visual language, extends from the quarter panels to the heel, adding a bold and distinctive touch to the olive and black colorway.
The inclusion of the BAPE® name on the vulcanized rubber midsole further solidifies the partnership between these two iconic brands. While the Sk8-Mid opts for a more understated execution, the Old Skool takes a bold leap into experimental territory.
Despite its minimalist construction, this iconic silhouette manages to make a statement with the alternating olive ABC camouflage on each side of the shoe. The left and right sides are distinguished by contrasting pink and blue prints, enhancing the visual appeal and showcasing the attention to detail that both BAPE® and Vans are known for.
One of the most notable features of the Old Skool in this collection is the replacement of the traditional Vans branding with the iconic Bape Star logo. This subtle yet significant change demonstrates the level of collaboration between the two brands as they seamlessly integrate their respective identities into a cohesive and desirable product.
The Vans x BAPE® collection, featuring the Sk8-Mid and Old Skool, is set to launch on July 26th, 2024 with an expected price point of around $120 USD for each silhouette.
