At its Cruise 2023 (Resort 2023) fashion show last Sunday night on the famed floor of the New York Stock Exchange, BALENCIAGA jointly unveiled its collaboration with adidas. According to the luxury fashion house owned by French group Kering, the collaboration “recontextualizes elements of sportswear that have been a part of Balenciaga’s creative language”.

It’s official: the BALENCIAGA x adidas collab is here! After many months of speculation, the collection lands and is promised to sell out in record time.
The special range continues Demna Gvasalia’s subversive vision, branded with a “badge of sport or trefoil logo over the name Balenciaga in the lowercase adidas typeface”.
In the program? Jackets and sweatpants, oversized t-shirts, hoodies, denim baggy pants, shorts, hooded jackets, long-sleeved t-shirts, baggy shorts, caps, socks, not to mention Triple S sneakers or Speed adidas, all sublimated with adidas’ three signature stripes attached to the “balenciaga” branding written in lowercase. It will delight fans of the French fashion house’s normcore aesthetic as well as those of the German sports label.
