Under the creative direction of Demna Gvasalia, Balenciaga continues to redefine the concept of the traditional sneaker. The Circuit sneaker features an extended design that combines form and function.
One of the most notable aspects of the Circuit sneaker is its unique sole, which swells under the ball and heel of the foot. This ingenious design element provides enhanced support for movement and agility, ensuring the wearer remains comfortable and stable whether they’re on the street or the dance floor.
The upper of the Circuit sneaker is equally impressive, featuring aerodynamic vented panels for optimal breathability and a fused eye stay that adds to the shoe’s futuristic aesthetic. Balenciaga’s commitment to branding is evident in the three distinct logomarks that adorn the exterior of the sneaker, highlighting the hybrid nature of the design.
To celebrate the launch of the Circuit sneaker, Balenciaga collaborated with acclaimed photographer Chris Lensz to create a series of captivating portraits. The images feature house muses Annabelle and Khadim wearing the sneakers in a sleek white and silver colorway, perfectly capturing the essence of the shoe’s innovative design.
