At the heart of the collaboration are photographs by National Geographic Fellow, photographer and founder of the National Geographic Photo Ark, Joel Sartore. The National Geographic Photo Ark is an effort by Sartore to document every species living in the world’s zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, with the aim of using the power of photography to inspire people to take action before it’s too late. The photos are direct and impactful: the animals are portrayed in their magnificence of form and colour, highlighting their singularity.
The collection features Joel Sartore’s images reimagined as LP album covers, with each animal becoming the star of a record. Using this unique interpretation and the global connectivity of music, A|X Armani Exchange looks to promote a more responsible message on the protection of biodiversity through this collection.
Every purchase helps support the global nonprofit National Geographic Society in its work to protect and illuminate our world through exploration, research, and education. To learn more, visit natgeo.com/info.
