Prada has appointed Aespa lead member Karina as its newest brand ambassador. The decision demonstrates the Italian luxury brand’s commitment to tapping into the immense popularity and influence of the K-pop industry.
Karina made her first appearance as a Prada ambassador at the Men’s Fall/Winter 2024 show in Milan. She effortlessly commanded attention in an eye-catching shift dress from Prada’s Spring/Summer 2024 womenswear collection.
Aespa, the group that catapulted Karina to stardom, is making waves in the music industry with their unique blend of hyperpop and metaverse-inspired concepts. Their debut single “Black Mamba” was a massive hit, and their subsequent releases have only cemented their position as one of the most exciting and innovative acts on the K-pop scene. Known for her exceptional singing and rapping skills, Karina’s involvement in the supergroup Got the Beat in 2022, another creation of SM Entertainment, has only added to her impressive resume.
In addition to global talents such as Harris Dickinson, Damson Idris and Hunter Schafer, Prada‘s ambassador line-up now includes a diverse range of South Korean stars such as Kim Tae-ri, Jeon So-mi, Sana Minatozaki and Jaehyun. By signing Karina, Prada continues to strengthen its relationship with the influential K-pop industry.
