Last year, adidas Originals and Los Angeles label Brain Dead teamed up to reinvent the Stan Smith sneaker. Now they return with the adidas Originals x Brain Dead Spring/Summer 2025 collection, a new take on the iconic Forest Hills sneaker and a range of playful, artistic apparel.
Instead of sticking to the usual tennis-inspired look, this collection breaks the mold. The adidas Forest Hills was first introduced in 1976 as the lightest tennis shoe of its time. Weighing just 8.7 ounces (247 grams) and featuring aerospace-inspired ventilation, it became a symbol of innovation before transitioning into streetwear. Now, Brain Dead and adidas have reimagined this court classic with hairy suede, leather stripes and bold two-tone colors inspired by earth tones.
The apparel collection follows the same creative vision. Expect hand-drawn graphics on track jackets, crewnecks and t-shirts, along with polos, shorts and pants that mix classic shapes with natural tones. Each piece showcases Brain Dead’s edgy design style while staying true to adidas’ sportswear roots.
Available in limited quantities, the adidas Originals x Brain Dead Spring/Summer 2025 collection will be available at select adidas stores and retailers and at wearebraindead.com on April 25th, 2025.
