adidas has launched its first ever padel shoe, the Crazyquick Lightstrike. This innovative shoe marks a significant milestone for the brand, which has been a major player in the padel industry for over a decade, creating top-of-the-line paddles and building thousands of courts worldwide.

The Crazyquick Lightstrike is designed to meet the unique demands of padel, a sport that has seen exponential growth in recent years. Kerryn Foster, GM Specialist Sports at adidas, emphasised the company’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of padel enthusiasts. The shoe is designed to support the fast, multi-directional movements that are essential for players navigating the fast-paced nature of the game.

Developed in collaboration with both grassroots and elite players, including world-renowned athletes Ale Galan and Marta Ortega, the Crazyquick Lightstrike incorporates cutting-edge technology to enhance performance. The shoe features a Lightstrike midsole that provides the optimum balance of energy return and comfort for explosive sprints and dynamic movements.
A key feature is the Sling-Frame construction, which provides lightweight support during rapid changes of direction. This innovative design provides stability without compromising flexibility, securing the foot exactly where it is needed. The outsole features a multi-directional traction pattern strategically placed to maximise grip in critical areas, including a circular ‘pivot point‘ pattern in high rotational impact zones.
These technological advances combine to create a shoe that promises speed, stability and lightness – key attributes for padel players looking to improve their game. The Crazyquick Lightstrike is available now through various adidas channels including the website, retail stores and mobile app.
