Making his own timing in the fashion release calendar, Ralph Lauren recently released his Spring/Summer 2021 collection billed as a cinematic experience.
Ralph Lauren’s 20-minute digital presentation, dubbed “All or Nothing at All” and shot in black-and-white, felt like stepping into an old film, set at its iconic Beverly Hills Flagship, with an energizing musical performance by house muse Janelle Monáe.
His collection was polished yet retaining his signature all-American ease, and grounded in tailoring for both men and women.
“My designs have always been about creating a world that is beyond fashion, a world of romance and timeless sophistication”, Lauren, said in a release. “For Spring/Summer 2021, my collections for both men and women intertwine those feelings and express a personal style that is modern and enduring”.
Garments boasted relaxed tailoring, in light, earthy tones and light fabrics with notes of navy, expressing the countryside wedding vibe. The travel bag also made room for comfortable pieces with a chic pajama look and the brand’s usual twin sets – all following the creator’s classic codes, without the rigidity of some of his more glamorous past collections.
