The new releases represent something rarely seen in the current Rolex catalog: matte pastel dials that strike a perfect balance between subtlety and presence. These aren’t your typical glossy Rolex dials,” notes a brand representative. “The matte finish gives these pastel shades an understated sophistication that works beautifully across all three sizes.

A fresh take on a classic collection

The Oyster Perpetual line has long been considered the purest expression of Rolex watchmaking. Directly descended from the original Oyster, the world’s first waterproof wristwatch introduced in 1926, today’s models retain all the fundamental qualities that made their predecessors legendary: chronometric precision, water-resistant cases, and automatic movements.

What makes these 2025 releases particularly interesting is how Rolex has applied its expertise in color. Lavender matte lacquer appears on the smallest 28mm version, creating a delicate presence perfect for slender wrists. A warm beige matte finish adorns the versatile 36mm model, while a fresh pistachio green adorns the largest 41mm model.

The 41mm model receives additional updates beyond its striking dial color. Rolex has redesigned both the Oyster case and the Oyster clasp, resulting in more harmonious proportions that will appeal to those who appreciate fine detail.

Technical excellence within

Despite their colorful personalities, these watches remain serious timepieces with impressive technical credentials. The 28mm model houses the caliber 2232, which features Rolex’s silicon Syloxi hairspring and offers a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. Meanwhile, both the 36mm and 41mm versions feature caliber 3230, which is equipped with the brand’s Chronergy escapement and blue Parachrom hairspring and delivers an impressive 70-hour power reserve.

We’ve maintained the same exacting standards for all three models,” explains a Rolex engineer. “Whether you choose the smallest or the largest size, you’ll get a watch with exceptional chronometric performance and reliability.

All three watches carry the Superlative Chronometer certification, which Rolex redefined in 2015. This designation confirms that each timepiece has undergone rigorous testing by Rolex following COSC certification, guaranteeing an accuracy of -2/+2 seconds per day – significantly more stringent than industry standards.

Perfectly proportioned cases

The Oyster case remains the foundation of these watches, guaranteeing water resistance to 100 meters through its screw-down caseback and Twinlock crown system. Crafted from a solid block of Oyster steel, the center case features contrasting finishes: satin on flat surfaces with polished sides that catch the light beautifully.

Each watch has a domed polished bezel that frames the pastel dial without overwhelming it. The bezels complement rather than compete with the soft dial colors, allowing the matte finishes to take center stage.

Beneath scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystals, the dials feature 18-carat white gold hour-markers with Chromalight luminescence for excellent legibility in the dark. The hands, also in 18K white gold, receive the same luminous treatment (except for the seconds hand).

Bracelets built for comfort

All three models are fitted with Rolex’s iconic Oyster bracelet, developed in the late 1930s and refined ever since. The three-piece link design provides exceptional strength while maintaining a clean, classic look that complements the overall aesthetic of the watches.

The Oyster bracelets feature satin-finished surfaces with polished edges, creating a subtle play of light that extends the visual interest from the case to the bracelet. Each features a folding Oyster clasp and incorporates Rolex’s Easylink comfort extension system, which allows the wearer to adjust the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm without tools.

The ability to make quick adjustments throughout the day makes these watches incredibly comfortable,” says a Rolex bracelet designer. “Your wrist size naturally fluctuates, and Easylink allows the watch to adjust accordingly.”

A modern interpretation of timeless design

What makes these new Oyster Perpetual models particularly appealing is the way they honor Rolex tradition while embracing contemporary color trends. The pastel palette feels fresh and modern, yet the execution – particularly the matte finish – prevents the watches from appearing trendy or ephemeral.

The lavender 28mm model offers a feminine option without resorting to clichés. The beige 36mm strikes the perfect balance between neutral and warm, making it perhaps the most versatile of the trio. The Pistachio 41mm makes a bolder statement while remaining sophisticated enough for formal occasions.

Backed by Rolex’s international five-year warranty, these watches are an excellent introduction to the brand’s universe. They deliver the essence of Rolex’s quality and design philosophy without unnecessary complications or precious metal premiums.

The new Oyster Perpetual models with pastel-colored dials offer compelling options in three different sizes. The combination of matte finishes and soft colors brings something truly new to the Rolex catalog, while respecting the understated elegance that has defined the Oyster Perpetual line for generations.
