Simone Rocha is gearing up to take the fashion world by storm as the next guest couturier at Jean Paul Gaultier. This comes after an official confirmation by a spokeswoman for the London-based designer, announcing that Simone Rocha will showcase a one-off collection during the upcoming Paris Haute Couture Week. The announcement was further amplified by Rocha herself, who shared a heartfelt note from Gaultier on her Instagram, sparking anticipation and excitement among fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.
The shared note on Instagram featured a bouquet of flowers accompanied by Gaultier’s congratulatory words, “Congratulations on your show. And see you for your next one … in Paris!!!” followed by a mini portrait of the designer in his iconic sailor-stripe top, signed “Jean Paul.”
This collaboration marks a distinctive blend of styles, as Rocha is renowned for her dreamy, embellished, and homespun silhouettes, which stand in contrast to Gaultier’s famous corsetry, tattoo prints, cone bras, and smokings.
