Versace has enlisted Hyunjin from the sensational South Korean boy band, Stray Kids, as its newest global brand ambassador. This recent alliance signifies Versace’s promising leap into the whirlwind of South Korean music phenomenon that’s reshaping the landscapes of fashion and luxury on a global scale.
In the bustling world of fashion and luxury, Versace has always been a trailblazer, pioneering new trends and pushing boundaries. With Hyunjin of Stray Kids now officially part of the Versace family, the luxury house confirms its intent to embrace the K-pop sensation that has taken the world by storm.
Bringing his unique flair and magnetic charisma to the role, Hyunjin is set to star in the Versace Holiday 2023 campaign, composed of compelling images and videos slated for a November release. With a staggering 72.3 million fans across various social media platforms, Hyunjin’s influence will undoubtedly amplify the reach and resonance of Versace’s campaign.
Donatella Versace, the brand’s chief creative officer, expressed her delight with Hyunjin’s addition to the Versace team. She noted, “Hyunjin has great new energy and creativity. I love his confidence and freedom of expression. He is a true Versace man”. For a designer renowned for her ability to connect with celebrities worldwide, this announcement signifies the start of yet another fruitful collaboration.
Hyunjin also shared his excitement about embarking on his Versace journey. He remarked, “I’m so excited to be starting my Versace journey as a global ambassador and to make beautiful moments together. I am both inspired and honored to play a part in the house’s truly amazing heritage“. With his profound admiration for Versace and the artistic chemistry with Donatella, Hyunjin is poised to bring a fresh perspective to the brand.
His engagement with the brand had been hinted at when Hyunjin attended Dua Lipa x Versace’s Pre-Fall 2023 “La Vacanza” fashion show last May, alongside a star-studded guest list including American rapper Future, actress Simone Ashley, and singer Troye Sivan. He also graced the opening of a Versace pop-up in Seoul, further solidifying his relationship with the brand.
Hyunjin joins a list of Versace global ambassadors like Chinese singer and model Chris Lee, who previously spearheaded the Versace Icons campaign alongside Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway.
Stray Kids, formed by JYP Entertainment in 2017, is a critically acclaimed K-pop band known for their distinct style and high energy performances. Despite having been a member down after Woojin’s departure in 2019, the band has gone from strength to strength, releasing platinum-certified albums and million-selling records.
Most recently, the band, including Hyunjin, unveiled their third studio album, “5-Star”. They are also gearing up for their latest “5-Star Dome Tour”, commencing in Fukuoka, Japan, on August 16th and extending to their homeland, South Korea.
