Maria Koch of 032c presented a Fall/Winter 2025 collection that explores the questioning of established norms. This collection, shown during Paris Fashion Week Men’s, reflects a mindset that questions and explores the status quo. The Berlin-based magazine turned fashion label continues its anti-zeitgeist approach with this new line.
Koch believes that creatives have a naturally inquisitive nature. This attitude, she explained at a preview, leads to questions that do not always yield conventional answers. This questioning spirit contrasts sharply with rigid or dogmatic thinking. This notion feels particularly relevant in the current global political climate.

The Fall/Winter 2025 collection blends upper-class elegance with unconventional elements. Sharp overcoats, classic A-line sheaths and flared skirts appear alongside unexpected fabrics and details. These details include tooth-shaped beads, charms and “melting” daisies on floral silk jacquards. A particularly soft “Bambi” mohair sweater and another covered in white plaster add texture to the collection. The inspiration for these details came from Alpine festivals, where people wear monster costumes to symbolize the escape from the old and the embrace of the new.
This subversion of tradition feels right for 032c. Koch describes her clothes as anti-zeitgeist, but this collection resonates with the present. The brand’s experiment has been steadily progressing. This show felt like a confident step forward, with more desirable pieces than previous collections. Classic garments are given modern updates. A negligee with backpack handles instead of traditional straps exemplifies this approach.
The Fall/Winter 2025 collection, presented at the Maison des Métallos, delves into the unseen and the enigmatic. Continuing 032c’s tradition of defying seasonal trends, it blends traditional European elements with unusual references, reinforcing 032c’s reputation for innovative design.
Traditional garments are given modern interpretations. This includes men’s cardigans and women’s dirndl proportions, reimagined with accentuated shapes, decorated crotches and macabre details. Fabrics and construction also receive attention. Bambi mohair, mille-fleur patterns and melting daisies appear on bomber jackets and knitwear. These are contrasted with collapsing crosses and alpine influences. Collapsing silk collars and waterproof, seam-sealed coated cotton coats further demonstrate 032c’s commitment to pushing boundaries. This collection explores the intersection of traditionalism and contemporary fashion, blending traditional garments with modern urban wear. Each piece encourages the wearer to move beyond the established, to embrace the new and embrace the unknown.
