Lacoste has strategically strengthened its market presence in China by appointing multi-talented Chinese actor Wang Yibo as its global ambassador. Known for his initial fame as a member of the K-pop group Uniq, Wang has risen to become one of China’s most influential male celebrities with an impressive following of over 40 million on Weibo.
Wang Yibo’s fashion sense fits seamlessly with Lacoste’s ethos of boldness and innovation. “Besides his acute taste for fashion, he is always daring to step out of his comfort zone, which coincides with the brand’s spirit of celebrating boldness,” Lacoste said of the partnership.
