Ronald van der Kemp celebrated his return to the Parisian catwalks, after two years of absence, with an upcycled and heterogeneous collection of exceptional beauty.
For this season, the designer was inspired by the things he loves and the memories he holds dear.
“Couture in the old days set an example for the world, and I want to show that we don’t have to always make a new trench coat every season and change the button here and there”, he said to Vogue. “If you present clothes in a different context, they become new again”.
As such, each look in the collection was constructed from unsold fabrics, archival scraps and even old looks from past collections, promising a responsible future even in haute couture.
