French menswear designer Pierre-Louis Mascia will present his first-ever runway show at the upcoming Pitti Uomo 106 in Florence. Known for his unique vision that seamlessly blends nature, culture, art and fashion, the Toulouse, France-born designer has been a regular exhibitor at Pitti Uomo for several seasons, showcasing his collections and collaborations with Italian manufacturing company Achille Pinto.

The runway show will take place on June 13th, the penultimate day of the menswear fair, at a yet-to-be-announced location in the heart of Florence. Mascia expressed his excitement about presenting his collection in this new format, saying, “It’s a wonderful opportunity to convey my love for beauty and to express my creative vision that encompasses nature, culture, art and fashion. I will do my best to create something that is truly unique and surprising“.

Mascia’s journey in the fashion industry began in 2008 when he launched his eponymous collection in collaboration with the Uliassi siblings, owners of the renowned Achille Pinto silk print shop in Como, Italy. Starting with a line of scarves, Mascia quickly expanded his line to include apparel and accessories, gaining recognition for his signature patchworks that artfully combine patterns and imagery.

The designer’s strong ties to Florence and Pitti Uomo have been instrumental in his success, and Antonio Cristaudo, Pitti Immagine’s Director of Marketing and Development, praised Mascia’s unique vision and the distinctive lines of his collections. Cristaudo noted, “Ever since the beginning we believed in the uniqueness of his vision: a strong stylistic imprint, the distinctive lines of his collections between graphic patterns and floral prints, archive research, and excellent materials.”

Mascia‘s creativity extends beyond fashion, as evidenced by his recent launch of an interior and homeware collection during Paris Men’s Fashion Week and the Maison & Objet design fair. With two boutiques in Italy and a presence in over 400 retailers worldwide, including prestigious stores such as L’Eclaireur and Le Bon Marché in Paris, La Rinascente in Italy, Isetan in Tokyo, Joseph Tricot in London and Bergdorf Goodman in New York, Mascia’s influence continues to grow.

The next edition of Pitti Uomo is scheduled for June 11th-14th and will feature Marine Serre and Paul Smith among its guests. Organizer Pitti Immagine has yet to announce the full roster of events and initiatives.
