French Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly has been named the new global ambassador for Givenchy‘s Gentleman fragrance franchise. Gasly, who has made a name for himself both on and off the track, embodies the modern gentleman – a figure of confidence, innovation and integrity.
“To me, Givenchy epitomizes both timeless elegance and boldness,” said Gasly. “The brand represents the art of self-assertion and pushing yourself further – a perfect match with my own lifestyle and philosophy.”

Gasly’s impressive achievements in Formula 1 include becoming the youngest Frenchman to finish on the podium in 2019, and taking his first victory at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza the following year. In 2024, during his second season with the BWT Alpine F1 Team, he helped his team to sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship. His career reflects the values of the Gentleman Society, a Givenchy initiative that celebrates courage, respect and commitment.
“When we met Pierre Gasly, we had a very great connection,” said Romain Spitzer, CEO of Givenchy Parfums. “He’s cool, stylish and effortlessly elegant. He’s inspiring, has a very positive personality and is very generous.”
Gasly’s ambassadorial role extends beyond his racing achievements. With a social media following of 6 million, including 5.5 million on Instagram, he has a strong international following. His appeal extends to a younger, diverse audience, with women making up 40% of Formula 1 fans, according to Spitzer.

Gasly’s love of fragrance makes him an ideal ambassador for Gentleman Givenchy, the house’s second-largest fragrance franchise after L’Interdit. “I wear fragrance on a daily basis and perfume myself several times a day. I even put some on right before going to sleep,” he shared. “Fragrance, for me, means self-confidence, energy and well-being. It’s a signature that expresses my style.”

Gasly is featured in the campaign for the new Gentleman Society Eau de Parfum Ambrée, which launches worldwide this month. The fragrance, a rich blend of floral, woody and spicy notes created by perfumer Karine Dubreuil Sereni, features notes of Peru balsam, opopanax, Tasuki vanilla from Madagascar, leather, tobacco and sandalwood. A 100-ml. eau de parfum retails for about €136 EUR.
Gentleman Givenchy was launched in 1975, so this year marks its 50th anniversary.
