Nike and Jacquemus expand their creative dialogue to the mountains with an après-ski collection that merges high-performance ski technology and refined minimalism. Designed for real alpine conditions, the 18-piece lineup redefines luxury skiwear through GORE-TEX protection, thoughtful layering, and a fashion-forward yet restrained aesthetic.

The French designer has been clear about his intentions: “I have always been a fan of skiing. It’s my favorite sport, and it’s been my favorite winter getaway since I was young,” Simon Porter Jacquemus said. “Ski attire has always fascinated me, and I’m a big collector of vintage ’80s skiwear. This collection with Nike is an opportunity for me to bring a new fashion story to our collaboration and to the ski community, which is a first for me.

The collection centers on triple-layer GORE-TEX jackets and pants built to withstand real mountain conditions. The two-in-one GORE-TEX jacket has a waterproof shell with a tailored fit and a zip-in bomber jacket with Primaloft insulation. The outer layer provides weather protection, and the interior bomber, complete with a Swoosh on the chest and Jacquemus branding on the shoulders, provides warmth.

A second women’s jacket uses the same protective materials, but it has a silhouette that references shapes from Jacquemus’ ready-to-wear line. The complementary GORE-TEX pants include removable jacquard straps and signature J belt loops. These aren’t just decorative touches. They’re functional design decisions that acknowledge how people actually dress on the mountain.

Jacquemus addressed the process directly. “Working with technical fabrics, learning from the best, and bringing forward a minimal and modern execution was a super interesting process for me in the Jacquemus way,” he noted.

The collection includes pieces designed for layering and après-ski situations. A women’s woven jumpsuit is made of soft, stretchy, water-repellent fabric and is cut for a slim fit. The versatile leggings feature an ultra-high waist, curved design lines, and stirrups at the hem. A lightweight bralette with a curved hem at the bust completes the look.

For men, the collection includes a long-sleeved top with sport-inspired design lines and thumb holes for wearing with mittens. The classic Jacquemus shirt is restyled with water-repellent fabric, a back J loop, and a chest pocket.

This collaboration builds on the work that began in 2022 when Nike and Jacquemus first connected over elevated silhouettes inspired by vintage Nike ACG designs and 1990s campaigns. The partnership produced the Le Swoosh bag and a Summer 2024 collection referencing Paris and Nike’s athlete roster. Most recently, the two reimagined Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman’s hand-built Moon Shoe.

The Après Ski collection is different. While previous collaborations played with athletic heritage and urban style, this one is committed to actual performance requirements. Jacquemus spent years collecting vintage skiwear from the 1980s, and that expertise is evident in the collection’s attention to proportion and detail.

This collaboration is compelling not only because of the GORE-TEX fabrication and Primaloft insulation. Those are baseline expectations for technical mountain wear. What stands out is Jacquemus’ restraint. The pieces don’t scream fashion on the slopes. The branding remains subtle. The silhouettes reference vintage ski culture and contemporary minimalism without leaning too heavily on either.
