Kith has reignited its collaboration with the New York Knicks, unveiling the 2024 collection that reimagines the team’s iconic branding through Kith’s distinctive lens. The campaign features prominent players Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges, bridging the worlds of fashion and basketball.
The collection provides an immersive experience both on and off the court. This season, Kith embarked on a new creative journey by partnering with Michael Doret, the original designer of the New York Knicks logo. Doret, known for his illustrious career in graphic design and typography – he has designed Kiss album covers, World Series logos and various Pixar logos – worked with Kith to incorporate a number of his original, never-before-seen sketches and concepts for Knicks logos.
The apparel line reinterprets signature Knicks branding across outerwear, knitwear, fleece, shirts, pants and shorts. Outerwear selections include leather varsity jackets, double-faced wool and nylon coaches’ jackets, nylon pullovers, and satin bomber jackets. Knitwear includes the Wyona full-zip sweater and the Lewis sweater in chunky cotton yarn. Fleece pieces like the Nelson Hoodie and Crewneck feature a series of new collaborative logos and artwork on heavyweight cotton fleece. Shirts are available in long and short sleeves with custom designs, paired with matching nylon pants, sweatpants and mesh shorts.
This collection marks the debut of Kith’s partnership with Avirex, a New York-based heritage brand known for luxury leather jackets. The two brands have combined their unique styles to reinterpret Avirex’s signature Icon and Legends jackets with Kith for the New York Knicks artwork. Each limited edition jacket is crafted from premium leather, lined with nylon and adorned with custom co-branded patches. Accessories include headwear created with New Era, featuring 9FORTY and 9FIFTY snapbacks, low profile 59FIFTY fitted caps and Kith’s signature beanies, all with co-branded embroidery in materials such as micro corduroy, merino wool and nylon. Complementing the accessories are lifestyle goods ranging from acrylic rugs and ceramic mugs to car fresheners and a Sherpa teddy bear. Kith also designed a fully customizable Pop-A-Shot in collaboration with Home Dual.
This season marks the first Kith Women for the New York Knicks offering, featuring outerwear, tees and sweaters. The capsule includes staple Kith Women silhouettes such as the Maverick Hoodie, Ashwin Crewneck and Mulberry Tee, all featuring Kith for the New York Knicks artwork. Kith Women also partnered with Avirex to reimagine the Icon Jacket in a cropped style with custom all-over prints.
The collection extends to Kith Kids, which takes inspiration from the adult styles and presents collaborative jackets, hoodies, crewnecks, tees, pants and a variety of headwear. This inclusive approach ensures that fans of all ages can show their team spirit in style.
