Kenzo and Hunter combine their creative talents in a debut collaboration that redefines luxury footwear. The French luxury fashion house and the British brand, a staple of contemporary design and heritage, have unveiled their joint collection, a vibrant display of “East meets West” aesthetics seamlessly integrated into Kenzo’s Fall/Winter 2023 lineup.
More than just a fusion of minds, this collection is a sartorial pilgrimage back to the vibrant 1960s, reimagining duck hunting boots with a luxurious twist. Within this range, aficionados will find an assortment of high and mid-high silhouettes meticulously crafted from a rich blend of rubber, suede and leather. Hunter’s signature color palette of subtle khaki and polished black is brought to life with the infusion of “Kenzo Red” and the emblematic Boke flowers, bringing a graphic vibrancy to the range.
Men can step out in style with the utilitarian lace-up ankle boot, featuring a resilient recycled nylon upper and traditional zig-zag lacing. A vibrant red sole meets black shell foxing, all made from FSC-certified rubber, while Boke flowers adorn the outsoles. Branding is subtle yet assertive, with “Hunter” emblazoned on the tongue and “Kenzo Paris” running along the back of the upper. The collection doesn’t stop there; a unisex utility ankle boot makes its presence known with an upper that harmoniously blends felt, leather and recycled polyester. This boot is further accented with a cover gaiter available in army green and red, as well as a sleek black option.
Rounding out the collection is Hunter’s iconic rubber Wellington Original Tall boot, reimagined for men and women in black and army green, with an exclusive Kenzo red version for women. Each boot in the line is made from durable vulcanized nylon and proudly displays Kenzo’s distinctive iconography.
