The Montreal-based design studio JJJJound is once again collaborating with the French sports equipment brand SALOMON. This new effort is their second joint project and centers on the popular XT-6 sneaker, a silhouette that has found favor far beyond its trail-running origins. The collaboration introduces two distinct colorways of the shoe.

One version features a striking blue mesh upper with yellow and black synthetic overlays. This option is aimed at individuals who appreciate pairing classic clothing with functional footwear. The second style offers a more subdued look with a charcoal and black upper accented with red details. This pair is a versatile choice, rooted in SALOMON’s design history.
While the two shoes have different visual styles, they share certain details. Both models incorporate vibrant red accents for branding on the heel. You will also find JJJJound’s name on the medial side of the heel and on the multicolored tongue label, a consistent feature of the XT-6.

Originally launched in 2013 as a high-performance shoe for ultra-distance runners, the XT-6 has since been adopted by a lifestyle audience. Its technical features, including the secure SensiFit construction, quick-lacing system, and stabilizing Agile Chassis System, remain key design elements, contributing to its crossover appeal.

The JJJJound x SALOMON XT-6 collection is scheduled for an initial release on August 7 through the JJJJound and SALOMON websites. A wider global launch at select retailers will follow on August 8. Each pair will be priced at $190.
