Taking inspiration from Gaultier’s influential work in the 1990s, the collaboration, aptly named “GLTR Sportswear,” will showcase a unique fusion of streetwear and high fashion. Oliver, known for his provocative approach and cult-like following through his ventures with Hood By Air and Anonymous Club, brings his unique perspective to the table, ensuring that this collaboration will be nothing short of groundbreaking.
With a comprehensive range of approximately 50 pieces, the collection aims to critique and expand upon the essential elements of the modern wardrobe. Oliver’s goal is not only to elevate Gaultier‘s designs, but to organically integrate his own vision, creating a harmonious and thought-provoking amalgamation of styles.
The Jean Paul Gaultier x Shayne Oliver collaboration will be unveiled at the Met Gala on May 6th in New York City.
