The campaign, a vivid celebration of LGBTQIA+ community spirit and individual authenticity, brims with the infectious euphoria that defines this beloved celebration.
Photographer Karim Sadli expertly encapsulates the exhilarating energy of Pride within the campaign’s visual narrative. Through this captivating lens, actors Amandla Stenberg and Brandon Flynn become the faces of the campaign and Calvin Klein’s 2023 “This Is Love” collection.
The campaign showcases striking images that brilliantly embody the joy and liberty inherent in embracing one’s truest self. In conjunction, dynamic video content invites audiences to explore the ethos of ‘’Let It Out’’ – a call to liberate one’s individuality and sensuality without restraint. Stenberg and Flynn, radiating with authenticity, are depicted as they unleash their personalities, reminding us all of the power in expressing our true selves.
The “This Is Love” collection of 2023 is a vibrant testament to the freedom of expression. The design philosophy centers around versatility, with pieces adaptable to any style, by anyone, not only during Pride season, but throughout the entire year. From underwear boasting rainbow motifs and daring color-blocking to the innovative application of mesh in their iconic Modern Cotton Underwear line, Calvin Klein ushers in a daring, playful, yet sensual aesthetic. The apparel selection further emphasizes versatility, with mix-and-match pieces that proudly declare, “This Is Love“.
Calvin Klein continues to cement its commitment to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community with substantial financial contributions. In 2023 alone, Calvin Klein has committed over $220,000 USD to esteemed NGOs such as PFLAG National, ILGA World, and the Transgender Law Center. Furthermore, Calvin Klein Australia and the PVH Foundation have gifted $55,000 USD to BlaQ Aboriginal Corporation. Beyond these substantial donations, Calvin Klein is forging partnerships with these organizations to ensure the company and its associates become more empowered advocates and allies.
This year’s collection also features two exclusive t-shirts, crafted in solidarity with ILGA World and Transgender Law Center. Emblazoned with the slogans “Empower Each Other” and “Show Up For Trans Youth“, these garments serve as powerful testaments to Calvin Klein’s proud support of these organizations and their critical advocacy for LGBTQIA+ rights, equality and safety.
