Balenciaga‘s Pre-Fall 2025 collection is created through raw, unfiltered iPhone snapshots taken at its historic Rue de Sèvres headquarters. Photographed by Creative director Demna Gvasalia himself, the collection presents a radical reimagining of everyday comfort wear transformed into luxury statements.
Set against the backdrop of the 17th century vaulted ceilings, the collection unfolds through candid styling sessions, revealing an intimate perspective rarely seen by the public. The presentation strips away the typical pageantry of a fashion show, focusing instead on the true process of creation.
Balenciaga’s latest offerings showcase bold transformations of everyday garments. Men’s boxer shorts become daring micro-skirts, while basic t-shirts become evening wear adorned with portraits of house ambassadors Michelle Yeoh and Isabelle Huppert. The standout piece of the collection comes from a surprising collaboration with Dr. Scholl’s, where comfortable slides are given an avant-garde treatment with towering spike heels.
The luxury house pushes boundaries with its new ‘Zero‘ footwear concept – a minimalist design featuring only clip-on heels and toe wraps. While potentially polarizing, these pieces exemplify Balenciaga’s knack for turning conventional items into conversation starters.
A partnership with Automobili Lamborghini brings the 2025 Temerario hybrid sports car into the fashion realm through graphic t-shirts and branded accessories. Oversized scarves, seemingly made from deconstructed coats and trenches, pay subtle homage to Cristóbal Balenciaga’s architectural legacy while appealing to contemporary tastes.
The collection emphasizes comfort without sacrificing sophistication. Hoodies are unexpectedly paired with heels, while loungewear elements are seamlessly integrated into formal silhouettes. Practical travel accessories, including leather memory collar pillows, demonstrate how luxury can enhance everyday functionality.
Traditional proportions are reinterpreted with exaggerated bombers and knee-length skirts. The styling suggests a world where comfort meets high fashion naturally, where bathrobe-inspired pieces and intentionally worn textures create a new language of luxury.
