Clarks has selected musical artist Cat Burns as their latest brand representative.
Stepping into the limelight with a sound as original and vibrant as her style, Cat Burns, the British artist crowned as the top-selling musician of 2022, flawlessly styles the latest Torhill.
Starting with street performances in London, and seamlessly translating that energy to TikTok, her followers exploded from zero to half a million in just three months. Today, that count stands at an impressive 1.3 million. Cat’s rise to fame mirrors the blend of tradition and modernity that Clarks encapsulates.
Torhill’s new collection emerges as a beacon of unisex appeal, drawing inspiration from the iconic Clarks Wallabee and the Big Gripper soles reminiscent of the ’90s.
Reflecting on the Clarks Torhill, Cat offers a heartwarming testimony to its comfort and style. “My sense of style is really important to me and a true form of expression. I’ve always connected with gender-neutral clothes, and I think that’s why I love Clarks so much – they have that everyday comfort feel but with an iconic vibe. They’ve always been a staple in my wardrobe and out on tour,” she remarks.
Cat’s meteoric rise didn’t stop at TikTok. Acknowledged as a Global RADAR artist by Spotify in 2022 and receiving a nomination for the “BRITS Rising Star” award, Cat’s trajectory in the music world is undeniable. With hit singles, magazine covers from Gay Times to Vogue‘s Pride edition, and even opening acts for Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, her influence spans across multiple platforms.
Taking a closer look at the Torhill Hi, its ribbed sole, borrowed from the Clarks archives, is as trendy today as it was during the Big Gripper era. Embracing Fall/Winter 2023‘s fresh hues of cobalt blue and cow print, alongside classic sand and black suede, Cat is more than a brand ambassador; she’s an embodiment of the line’s essence. Its streamlined design, reminiscent of the legendary Wallabee, and the premium materials coupled with intricate stitching, underscore its relaxed, everyday appeal, echoing the Clarks DNA.
For those eager to mirror Cat’s impeccable style, the new Torhill collection made its debut both in-store and online on September 5th.
