Antoine Dupont, former captain of the French national rugby union team and an outstanding player for Stade Toulousain, recently joined the ranks of celebrities and athletes as a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador and athlete sponsored by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
LVMH praised Dupont, saying: “With his drive for excellence and ambitious goals, Antoine Dupont continually pushes his limits to achieve his dream of Olympic gold. LVMH and Louis Vuitton are delighted to support him on this journey and to welcome him as ambassador and Artisan of All Victories.”
Dupont announced last year his decision to skip the 2024 Six Nations Championship in order to be part of the French rugby sevens team, with the aim of winning his first Olympic medal in Paris next summer. That ambition seems closer to reality after France’s resounding triumph at the 2024 HSBC Sevens in Los Angeles established them as a leading force in the rugby format.

Although the national team, affectionately known as Le XV de France, failed to progress beyond the quarter-finals at the last Rugby World Cup and the Six Nations title went to Ireland, Dupont has maintained his status as one of the world’s rugby elite. The 27-year-old, who will captain the French national rugby union team from 2022 to 2023 and plays at scrum-half for Stade Toulousain, was named the Six Nations Player of the Championship in both 2023 and 2022, making it three in the last four years.
The 2023 Rugby World Cup in France has been heralded as the most watched rugby event in history, demonstrating the growing popularity of the sport in the host country of the upcoming Olympic Games. As a Premium Partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, LVMH provides financial support and exclusive opportunities to a select group of Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Dupont joins swimmer Léon Marchand and fencer Enzo Lefort, who were previously supported by Louis Vuitton and the luxury group.
