The fashion house Alaïa strengthens its presence with two new stores in the United States, located at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas and South Coast Plaza, marking a significant expansion in the American luxury market.
Swedish architecture studio Halleroed brings its distinctive vision to both locations. “The vision behind these spaces is defined by organic shapes and sharp lines, echoing the same language found in Alaïa’s iconic pieces,” reads the Maison’s official announcement. The spaces feature an expertly curated selection of materials, including pale leather surfaces and unbleached Carrara marble, creating environments that speak to sophisticated luxury.
The Fontainebleau Las Vegas boutique makes powerful use of vertical space through distinctive tubular elements that cascade from the top. A carefully selected 1970s vintage modular curved sofa serves the dual purpose of providing comfort while adding historical context to the contemporary setting.
The California location features perhaps the most striking architectural element: a leather-wrapped, rounded chamber with an impressive skylight. Custom-cut marble tiles complement this bold geometric statement, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.
These openings mark Alaïa‘s strategic growth in the American market. Under the direction of Creative director Pieter Mulier, these boutiques represent Alaïa’s understanding of modern luxury retail spaces. The architectural choices reflect careful consideration of how customers experience fashion environments, creating spaces that enhance the presentation of the collections.
