The prestigious Maison Cartier has announced the talented Elle Fanning as their latest Global Ambassador, entrusting her with the legacy of the timeless Grain de Café collection.
Celebrating this collaboration, Fanning made a dazzling appearance at the Met Gala in New York City, embodying the elegance and radiant femininity synonymous with the collection.
Fanning herself expressed her delight at the opportunity, stating, “I am so proud to become Cartier’s Global Ambassador. The Grain de Café collection embodies so much of what makes Cartier’s style and savoir-faire unique; from exquisite goldwork to the precious transformation of an everyday object“.
The Grain de Café collection, initially launched in 1938 by Jeanne Toussaint, was enshrined in history when Monaco’s newly-crowned Princess Grace (Kelly) donned it–further cementing its status as glamorous, sophisticated, and regal. Fanning is a natural fit for the collection, with the upcoming campaign being directly inspired by Grace Kelly and her intrinsic links to both the French Riviera and the golden age of Hollywood. The collection was reintroduced to the Cartier fold in 2022 with a mix of pieces meant to be worn as part of a woman’s everyday wardrobe.
Arnaud Carrez, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Cartier, praised Fanning’s appointment, saying, “To embody the beauty, heritage and sense of sunlight captured within the Grain de Café collection, we selected Elle Fanning for her talent, determination, and range, which have allowed her to take on a variety of roles in the world of cinema. As our new Global Ambassador, she brings a luminous on-screen presence to the Grain de Café collection and campaign that recalls its most famous wearer, Princess Grace of Monaco”.
Elle Fanning’s acting career has been marked by her versatility and captivating performances. Currently, she stars as Catherine the Great in Hulu’s critically acclaimed series “The Great“, earning a 2022 Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. Her filmography also includes starring roles in both “Maleficent” movies alongside Angelina Jolie.
