Tory Burch debuts new fragrance “Sublime” in partnership with Shiseido

Tory Burch's new fragrance, Sublime, created in partnership with Shiseido, embodies the designer's passion for individuality and innovation.

Tory Burch has launched her newest fragrance, Sublime. Created in partnership with licensee Shiseido, the new fragrance marks a significant milestone for Tory Burch’s beauty business. The fragrance debuted at Ulta Beauty, Tory Burch boutiques and on the brand’s website, with prices ranging from $35 USD for a travel spray to $155 USD for the 90ml size.

As executive chairman and chief creative officer of her company, Burch draws parallels between her creative processes in fashion and fragrance. “I think about individuality above everything, and my approach [with fragrance] mirrors my design philosophy,” she explains. “It’s reimagining classics with a tension and contrast, building confidence. Those are things I think about when I design a collection as well.”

To bring this vision to life, Givaudan perfumers Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Christine Hassan skillfully layered an intoxicating blend of leather, rose, osmanthus flower, earthy vetiver and mandarin. The fragrance also includes notes of ivy, patchouli and magnolia, creating a captivating and unique olfactory experience. Burch reveals the origin of the fragrance, saying, “I was in Antigua, and I had this old leather bag. The smell was intoxicating, and it gave me the idea of a starting point for this new fragrance.”

Recognizing the significance of this launch, Masahiko Uotani, President and CEO of Shiseido, said, “This new fragrance Sublime by Tory Burch, like the brand itself, is a direct reflection of Tory Burch’s passion, innovation and creative spirit. Following the successful launch of the Essence of Dreams collection in 2022, Tory Burch Sublime is accompanied by a stunning campaign shot by renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, featuring iconic model Kendall Jenner. Jenner expressed her excitement for the collaboration, saying, “I want to align with designers who feel genuinely right to me, and this felt natural and organic. Sublime is beautiful, it’s sexy, it’s confident.”
