Dior’s Cruise 2025 (Resort 2025) collection will be unveiled on June 3rd in the picturesque gardens of Drummond Castle, Scotland. This is the first time Dior has held a Cruise show in Scotland, and the location promises to be a stunning backdrop for Maria Grazia Chiuri’s latest creations.
This isn’t Dior’s first foray into Scottish inspiration. Founder Christian Dior himself drew on the country’s heritage for a look in his debut collection in 1947, aptly named ‘Écosse‘. Following this legacy, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s current artistic director for womenswear, is known for collaborating with local artisans on the annual Cruise collection. This tradition not only enriches the collection, but also provides a welcome boost to the host destination’s tourism industry.

Drummond Castle, the chosen venue, has a fascinating history. Built in the 15th century, the castle began as a fortified tower and was gradually transformed into a stunning Renaissance residence. The gardens, a true gem, offer a captivating fusion of Italian terraces and French parterres, all meticulously arranged around a striking 17th-century sundial. A beech tree planted by Queen Victoria commemorates her visit in 1842.
The choice of location has further significance for Dior. In 1955, the brand held a ball to celebrate its spring collection at the nearby Gleneagles Hotel. This upcoming cruise show seems to be a delightful continuation of the brand’s historic connection to Scotland.
Scotland last captured the fashion world’s attention in 2012, when Chanel held its Métiers d’Art show at Linlithgow Palace.
