It was Christopher John Rogers’s first IRL show in over two years. It’s been two years since the CFDA-affiliated designer has physically presented a collection, so the anticipation in the room was stronger than ever.
Tucked deep within Brooklyn Navy Yard, Christopher John Rogers’ Collection 010 runway show leaned into Rogers‘ signature silhouettes remixed with bright, expressive use of color – either on its own or in rainbow stripes or checks – dramatic volume and inventive shapes.
Tailoring played a starring role with single-breasted pantsuits exuding masculine swagger mixed with other more feminine shapes boasting dropped lapels, back gathers and drapes, and, in a couple of cases, pantaloons.
