After a colorful and summer Emporio Armani collection, it was the turn of the main line Giorgio Armani to be highlighted on the penultimate day of Milan Fashion Week.
The doyen of fashion gathered, in the intimate basement space of Via Borgonuovo under his HQ and alongside his own house, a front-row of celebrities, from Jonathan Bailey to Regé-Jean Page, who lends his face to the new fragrance ‘’Armani Code’’ scheduled to launch in early June, Scott Eastwood, son of the legendary Clint Eastwood and face of the Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 2022 collection, Lucas Bravo, Mads Mikkelsen, and a host of top athletes, including members of Olimpia Milano. The Milan basketball team, sponsored by A|X Armani Exchange, won its 29th national championship the day before.
All came to enjoy a demonstration of generous cuts and exploration of new territories that included a wide range of soft-shouldered suits, flowing shirts, largely unstructured jackets, flattering double-pleated pants paired with soft sneakers and suede loafers to accentuate the casual, languid nature of the garments.
There was also a lot of research into fabrics that breathe comfort and lightness while the colors, unlike the Emporio Armani line shown two days earlier, were more subtle with sand, white, beige, gray, periwinkle blue, bright lichen and touches of black.
