At the Emporio Armani Fall/Winter 2023 runway show, the collection was showcased at Armani’s Via Bergognone headquarters, in the round format. On the floor was a map of Milan.
The models wore goggle-like sunglasses perched on old-fashioned aviator caps and began with looks featuring flowing faux-fur lined outerwear, jumpsuits, and suiting in a combination of Prince of Wales and houndstooth. The models carried leather duffel bags and wore chunky ankle boots attached with coin wallets, the looks was completed with straight-leg pants.
As the show progressed, the styles moved forward in time, with cashmere bombers and a shaved herringbone tracksuit, and harnessed all-leather looks adding a touch of turbulence. There was also an EA7 interlude featuring sneakers and down jackets and pants in a shiny, distressed burgundy finish.
The show ended with a progression of colors, starting with apricot-ish russets, burst briefly into pinks and purples before ending in inky blackness, a long section of eveningwear.
